logging in with non-hotmail-addresses

I have problems logging into the messenger with my email-address
tileri@xxxxxx. I get the error message
«Connection error from Notification-Server: Reading error» in the
messenger-client pidgin and
similar errors in «aMSN» and sim-im. Although I am able to log into the
MSN website with my account and i was able to use the microsoft
messenger network with pidgin and that account a few months ago.
Developers said it is Microsoft's server's
fault. Why can't I login anymore?

Re: logging in with non-hotmail-addresses

Greetings,

If possible could you try using Windows and the real Messenger client? One possibility that
comes to mind is that your account may have been banned from the service for some reason.
