I have a problem to install messeger live in my computer , I downloaded and run the patch eDataSecurity_v2.8.4364.exe. but I can't install the messeger, the message say : an error ocurred during the installation of assembly 'MICROSOFT.VC90.CRT,version=9.0.21022.8. It looks like another program is preventing the installer from working. hr:0x80070643. Could you help me please , how can I resolve this issue.

I got the same problem!!
I've installed Vista Home Premium 2 days ago, and I can't install windows
live messenger. Every time I try to install the program, I get exactly the
same error message,, Please help us!

i also have the same problem, running Vista, and you can't even run older
versions of messenger!!..... this sucks....
