Vista - error code: 80080005

i downloaded the new version of windows life messenger 9.. and when i try to
sign in .. and it says: " signing in to windows live messenger failed because
the service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later Error
code:80080005 " and i have tryed a lot of times.. and also downloaded the new
version of windows XP and it still doesn't work.. could i get some help please

The other day I synced my HTC Touch contacts to my laptop without realizing I had wiped then from my phone.
This removed all my contracts from messenger 9 and it connected for the first time in months.
Dont know if its coincidence or if the problem was corrupt contact details. Its great to be back on messenger but a pain replacing all my contact details.
Hope this may help some of you, but unlike me backup you contacts before deleting them from messenger.

Download faultrep.dll and place it in your contacts folder in windows live .

I did, and I am able to sign in, but after about 5 seconds Iäm back to the
sign in screen. Need a more permanent solution.
