| | Sound with sb audigy windows xp - fully updated Soundblaster audigy card updated driver (but same problem with previous driver) Problem:- When using sound (clicking the telphone icon) The remote user either doesn't receive notification that an attempt has been made to use a voice call or the remote user's messenger falls over or my messenger reports in the messenger window "messenger unavailable. [No other problems experienced with sound card - eg Skype works fine] Tried: a. Windows update of sound blaster driver [ this was not straight forward. Could not automatically find KsUser.dll (had to navigate to it, version found was 2004 then same issue with errCantRemember.sys] BUT then reported installation successful] b. Settings > Control Panel > add/remove > Windows Live Messenger > Repair No go - still have the problem -- Jim Bunton |
