| | WebCam starting then stopping & errors messages When I am trying to place a video call or conference to someone, and I am using my web cam, it starts on my end, and I get a message that the recipient has accepted the video call. Then for no explicable reason my webcam stops and the video portion of the chat session ends, without impacting the chat session. This is coupled with start up problems generating error message nos. 80072745, 80048820 & 81000306. I don't know if installing IE version 8 had anything to do with this, but I uninstalled IE 8 and it seems the startup error codes have gone away. Any feedback on this bug? Any workaround or patch that I should be using? I am running Windows XP with SP3 and Windows Live Messenger 2009, build 14.0.8050.1202, and I am using a broadband connection through a D-Link 1310 router. |

| | RE: WebCam starting then stopping & errors messages Hi, This problem keeps happening! The problems with error message nos. 80072745, 80048820 & 81000306, have gone away. I am able to log onto WLM 2009 To restate my dilemma: when I am in a one-on-one chat session, and I offer my webcam to the person on the other end, and they accept, the webcam part of the chat session ends with our any error message explaining why. I am not starting a video call, I am just starting my webcam. The recipient on the other end does not have a webcam, so they are only viewing my video stream. When I first started using Windows Live Messenger 2009, the webcam feature worked perfectly. It stopped working as I have described above, after I uninstalled IE 8 and deleted it, which rolled it back to IE 7.
