Crash on sign in with vista

I have had no problem with WLM at all, but lately, if i try to sign in, the
whole computer will crash
The spinnin buddies will show like every other frame.. and then end up
staying in the same place... but switching colours.
Windows is completly unaccessable. Desktop gets a white low opacity
overlay.. my mouse is a hourglass and i cant do anything.. except sit and
watch it burn.
This is the strangest part.. no error messages get displayed... windows will
just fry up.

I have uninstalled and re-installed WLM about 5 times aswell.
The only way i have figured it out to stop crashing is restart computer.
but on a reboot - it asks to "start windows safely" because it crashed...

any idea please ?
