Vista - Windows Live Error - Please Help!!

Well, the new update does not work on my laptop. I'm running Windows Vista Home Basic. I have Zonealarm Firewall and Mcafee Antivirus. I've tried disabling Zonealarm, but no success. Mcafee doesn't have a "disable" option. It is stuck on the first part of installation, here is a screenshot.



Please help?

It does appear it's waiting or stuck on trying to turn on Microsoft Update. You can go ahead
and do this yourself at http://update.microsoft.com (use Internet Explorer) and switch it on.
More than likely any errors or problems will be notified to you that way.

Since I realize Messenger is probably important to you. As an easy fix, try manually
installing Messenger by simply downloading and
running the MSI file:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/redir/w3qfe/wlm.asp

If that installs without an error (it'll just install and disappear if it's successful), then
install the Communications Platform:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/red...e/contacts.asp

If that installs correctly, you can now use Messenger by running it from the Start menu,
Windows Live folder.
