Your contacts will see it non-mirrored however. Are you looking for a list of items in general, or just with video support? If the latter, 640x480 support was added for Full screen mode and there's the webcam display pictures. -- Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger MessengerGeek Blog: http://www.messengergeek.com Messenger Resources: http://messenger.jonathankay.com (c) 2009 Jonathan Kay - If redistributing, you must include this signature or citation -- "Karin Zubel" <kzNoSPAM@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:udZqYB4lJHA.5124@xxxxxx Quote: > > http://messenger.live.de/ > http://windowslive.de.msn.com/messen...mentid=6402848 > > Hello! > > Windows Live Mail Version 2009, Build 14.0.8064.0206 > > I have problems with the Web Cam. Unfortunately, my *contacts* now see me in mirror image, so ask me how much it cost me to have the cosmetic surgery to move the mole to the opposite side of my face. This just proves that two wrongs don't make a right. -- Steve Swift http://www.swiftys.org.uk/swifty.html http://www.ringers.org.uk |

Most webcam drivers have their own mirror function, like the LifeCam does, but that just makes it worse as you noted. Previous versions of Messenger had a setting to turn this function off, but that setting no longer exists in the UI nor is it read in the registry in 2009. -- Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger MessengerGeek Blog: http://www.messengergeek.com Messenger Resources: http://messenger.jonathankay.com (c) 2009 Jonathan Kay - If redistributing, you must include this signature or citation -- "Swifty" <Steve.J.Swift@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:#9yZYW9lJHA.4564@xxxxxx Quote: > Jonathan Kay [MVP] wrote: Quote: >> The mirror effect is actually a feature and unfortunately you can't turn it off. It just bugs me to see myself mirrored when I'm using my webcam in messenger. |
