How to record a voice conversation

What is the best way to record a voice conversation over WLM? I've read
that it's possible using a program called Virtual Audio Cable, but is there
    some easier way?

    Greetings Michael,

Another option is TotalRecorder (http://www.highcriteria.com) but it's very similar to what
you would be doing in VAC and isn't an automatic solution.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried TotalRecorder, but it failed to identify
any input devices on my Vista 32 system, and advised me to contact technical
    support.
