Unable to accept a network invitation

Hi
I recently received my first network invitation on Live messenger, the guy
has been successfully added to my messenger contacts, however every time I
boot up messenger says i have an invitation. I can click on that and it takes
me to my outstanding invitations in Live in my browser, I click on accept and
not much happens, it changes to network and then just sits there like that.
If i go back to my profile it says i have an outstanding invitation, and i
can't get rid of it.

What do i need to do to get this to work, I am using IE8, but I have also
tried to accept it in firefox which does the same thing.

Cheers

Matt
