    Other IM networks

I am wondering if its possible to use Windows Live Messenger 2009 with Google
or AOL and if so with what functionality (such as status). I just downloaded
it and have been chatting with a friend on their AOL mobile account so I
suspect AOL is fine except that his contact name shows he's offline even
though I am chatting with him and yet on Trillian it shows he's online.

So can we setup contacts who use Google Talk and can we see their status?

Any info is appreciated since I haven't found much searching for this online.

    Greetings,

I'm afraid not, the only other IM network at present which Messenger interoperates with is
    Yahoo Messenger.
