| | Windows Live Messenger 2009 Have installed 2009 but when going into the audio and web cam settings under tools it says I am unable to do it. I am able to view my friend's web cam. I have reinstalled the web cam to see if that would help but no - still can't go into the settings for the audio etc. so cannot use the audio or my web cam in 2009. I have been able to use it in the other versions. I am thinking of just uninstalling and going back to the previous version. Is anyone else experiencing this. |

| | RE: Windows Live Messenger 2009 The culprit in my case was McAfee Site Advisor. It blocked Live Messenger AV. Upgrade to the latest version (currently 2.9.258) from the SiteAdvisor website and you get your audio & video back. | | Re: Windows Live Messenger 2009 Greetings, Not exactly. What you can do is pause the video and take a screenshot of the Messenger window. To pause, click on the small arrow button next to the where the video frame is and choose Pause webcam. To do the screenshot portion, see here: http://www.wikihow.com/Take-a-Screen...rosoft-Windows -- Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger MessengerGeek Blog: http://www.messengergeek.com Messenger Resources: http://messenger.jonathankay.com (c) 2009 Jonathan Kay - If redistributing, you must include this signature or citation -- "shadlecker" <shadlecker@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:3403BAE4-9813-4600-9035-1BFF8D1DAE19@xxxxxx Quote: > can you take a picture while in video call, can you freeze video call and take > picture > > "Scubamaster" wrote: > Quote: >> The culprit in my case was McAfee Site Advisor.
