No Send Button?

The "new version" Windows Live Messenger ... Version 2009 (Build
14.0.8064.206) has no Send button when you open an Instant Message window.

Is this right? or have I missed a setting?

Re: No Send Button?

Greetings,

This is correct, you have to press the enter/return key now to send a message. I've already
voiced concern over this too and others did during the beta process.

If it's really an issue, Messenger Plus Live skins may be able to assist as some skins have
an option to have a Send button. Although at this time I haven't seen a specific skin where
just the send button could be added, so any I could link you to right now would give you a
different Messenger interface, but there's no reason someone couldn't make one up for you
using the standard UI should it be required.

Re: No Send Button?

Most of the time this is not a problem for me, but it is extremely annoying
when cutting and pasting into the window.

There seems to be several features missing in this new release, and the
still no tabbed chat window ability. That would not be so bad if I were able
to use M. Plus at work, but they block it.

Has anybody complaining about the "Sync" button submitted feedback? First
time I ever provided Windows Live with feedback, using the menu item, "Help
| Send feedback...". Not that I am certain it does any good; but I felt they
at least needed to know.

Re: No Send Button?

It is needed for multi-touch displays. Just bring it back as an option
