video not working

Just upgraded to the latest version. Now video will not work. I get the
following message:

"Messenger is not available right now. Please try again later. (0x80ee000c)"

I do not have McAfee. I have AVG.

I see several other people are having this issue. Have not seen a solution.
Any ideas?

RE: video not working

Hi. I have AVG. Got it working. Here's what to do...

Open up AVG.
Go to Web Shield
Go to Instant Messaging tab
Turn off Instant Messaging Protection.

The Big Red ! is annoying, but at least the video will work until Microsoft
fixes the problem.

Re: video not working

Greetings,

Thanks for the feedback. These so-called IM protection features are pretty silly anyway, as
the scanners will scan any files you execute in Windows regardless if they're from IM or
otherwise.

Re: video not working

Hi all,

This seems useful. I will try it. But i have one more question:
w/o the disabling of that feature the video function fo the video call works
just the voice function is not working, would disabling that feature solve
the problem?

Thanks,
Mohammad
