| | Sign in works but not automatically I'm using WLM 2009 build 14.0.8064.206. I have it set up to automatically run when I log on to Windows and to allow automatic sign in when connected to the internet. The main WLM window is set to not open when WLM starts. I connect to the internet using a UPnP router. WLM starts OK when Windows starts and it appears in the notification area but it never signs in automatically. I have to give it a nudge by right clicking on the notification icon and requesting sign-in. I'm running Vista x64 ultimate. Any ideas how to resolve this? Thanks |

This seems to be related to the fact that I keep all of my IM clients online in Pidgin normally, and only start the protocol-specific clients when I need one of their unique functions. It seems that WLM 2009 somehow detected that Pidgin was active with my MSN account, and rather than steal the session away without prompting, it decided to wait for my OK to proceed with the signon. -- Steve Swift http://www.swiftys.org.uk/swifty.html http://www.ringers.org.uk |

I wonder if it could be down to the Windows Live toolbar in Internet Explorer? That shows me as signed in whenever I start IE. I'll try turning it off in the toolbar. Cheers Mike |
