| | Windows Live Messenger I cannot do video calls or accept or send webcam invitations with the new version of live messenger for PC, Windows Live Messenger 2009. If there is any known solution to the problem, someone please let me know. |

| Vista | Re: Windows Live Messenger Hi bmills24, Let’s try and make sure your settings are correct for your webcam. Click on the menu button and select TOOLS, then select AUDIO AND VIDEO SETUP. A new window will open up to the audio settings, click next. The next screen will have a preview of the video footage from your webcam (or should). The drop-down menu at the top has the list of connected webcams, make sure the one you’re trying to use is selected. Let me know what comes from this, and I’ll check back. Cheers, Ron Windows Outreach Team |

| Vista Home Premoum | Re: Windows Live Messenger Perhaps you can help me as I am having similar problems. When I go to Audio and Video set-up, I can see my webcam selected in the drop down and see my image. I can go into Webcam Settings and set up the cam how I want and save. However, the option to show my webcam is grayed out, I cannot send an invite. If someone else sends me an invite and I accept, all my Webcam Settings are back to the default. Any thoughts? This used to work just fine, but I think the combo of Vista with Windows Live Messenger has ruined my Webcam options. |

Does that help at all? If not, you might want to try uninstalling and reinstalling. You can grab the latest version of Windows Live Messenger here: Messenger - Windows Live. Cheers, |
