| | wont let me sign in error code 80070312 Everytime I try and sign into my windows live messenger it says: Signing in to Windows Live Messenger failes because the service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later. It does this everytime, what should I do?? I need it for schooling. |

| | Re: wont let me sign in error code 80070312 Greetings, This could be some sort of authentication problem. Firstly, make sure your computer's clock and date is set correctly. You can check this right-clicking on the clock on the taskbar and choosing Adjust date/time. Assuming that's correct, open up Internet Explorer (do not use another browser) and head over to http://account.live.com and attempt to login there. This started happening about 18 hrs ago after I signed off and then tried to sign back on. My clock is correct and I can sign in at 'account.live.com" and my hotmail account is accessible. I can get into the very old Messenger that was shipped with my system and it shows my friends who are online. This version with issues is 14....and has been running fine for the past 3 wks or so.
