Block popup for new version

Is there any way to block the popup (from systray) about new WLMsgr (ver
14.something) version existing?
I'm using ver 8.5 and I after reading these newsgroups about all the
problems with it, I've got no intention of upgrading..
(I've got a no-name webcam for which I haven't been able to find any drivers
on the web, so have to use the (obsolencent) drivers from the accompanying
3" CD VendorID USB\VID_17A1&PID_0128\5&338467E0&0&2 )

Re: Block popup for new version

Greetings Thomas,

There are some ways, but they require editing of your Messenger executable and tricking the
server -- both which could cause some problems now in the future. I've been working on
another method that would be pretty harmless, but I've not gotten it working yet.

On the plus side, unlike previous versions, at least it doesn't bring up a whole window every
single time that you have to deal with before signing in.
