| | windows live msgnr does not auto logon I've upgraded to Windows Live Messenger version 2009. It is set to automatically sign in when connected to the Internet. However it does not automatically sign in. I have manually sign in. How do I fix this? When I had the previous messenger versions, they were all ok and would auto sign-in with no problems. Appreciate any help with this. Thanks! |

(1) If I have two or more Passport or Windows Live ID's in use on the computer. (No solution to this. You're stuck.) (2) It is simply slow *sometimes* to do the autologon. Very slow. (3) IE and Messenger, if run at the same time, are run with different user credentials. (4) Messenger wasn't instructed to remember the password. Note: If the Messenger window isn't sized sufficiently large, you won't see the option on the signin screen to tick "remember me". -- Mike H |

| | RE: windows live msgnr does not auto logon my v.2009 doesn't even record any sign-ins. I've to key in all detailsevery time my terminal is switched on. My problems are much worse than yours sweetie. I get errors due to Messenger while shutting down my windows too. This, after reinstalling to version 2008 and then updating to version 2009, still getting the same errors. *very upset* "pearlydew" wrote: Quote: > I've upgraded to Windows Live Messenger version 2009. | | RE: windows live msgnr does not auto logon for the last few days to a week i have been having no auto sign in issues also when i turn my PC on for the day. I have to manually put everything in to sign in, and yes i always have the sign me in automatically box checked which checks everything else. quite a hindrance when I turn my PC on and then walk away expecting to get IMs and hearing them in other rooms but not able to since it wont log in. I believe this started happening the same day Xbox Live did their maintenance on Tuesday June 16th 2009... but that could just be a coincedence. |
