| | RE: How can I be onlne with 2 Windows Live ID's at once? for now, messenger does not support this. I don't think it ever will. For the time being you could download messenger plus! http://www.msgplus.net/ It features around 95% of requests that Microsoft chooses to ignore over the years including signing in with multiple IDs "Will" wrote: Quote: > Do I need to log in with the second ID with another service that supports WL > Messenger as well as the first with WL Messenger? > > |

| | Re: How can I be onlne with 2 Windows Live ID's at once? Hi, Actually Messenger does support this, as of the 2009 version. It's just not in the options and you have to add the registry value yourself. The key is at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Live, and the value you add is MultipleInstances as a DWORD set to 1. However, the Plus method is not only easier, but better supported (you can see a tooltip to see which Messenger icon is which and niceties like that). -- Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger MessengerGeek Blog: http://www.messengergeek.com Messenger Resources: http://messenger.jonathankay.com (c) 2009 Jonathan Kay - If redistributing, you must include this signature or citation -- "Chris-Gonzales" <chrisgonzales@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:057F4710-FE6B-44A3-9634-0EE72DB026D4@xxxxxx Quote: > for now, messenger does not support this. | | Re: How can I be onlne with 2 Windows Live ID's at once? why is it not in the options? Seems silly its supported, but it never was added to the options, nor added the feature list. Hi, I think it just got snuck in ![]() If it had to be in options, it probably wouldn't be there at all (for political and economical reasons). -- Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger MessengerGeek Blog: http://www.messengergeek.com Messenger Resources: http://messenger.jonathankay.com (c) 2009 Jonathan Kay - If redistributing, you must include this signature or citation -- "Chris-Gonzales" <chrisgonzales@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:1629B074-BCE3-4714-B2F8-6A3C88709D8C@xxxxxx Quote: > why is it not in the options?
