How can I be onlne with 2 Windows Live ID's at once?

Do I need to log in with the second ID with another service that supports WL
Messenger as well as the first with WL Messenger?

DO you have 2 WLM service running at the same time or you have 2 seperate WLM running at your computer?

If it won't work on mine, I don't think it'll work on anyone's.

for now, messenger does not support this. I don't think it ever will.

For the time being you could download messenger plus!

http://www.msgplus.net/

It features around 95% of requests that Microsoft chooses to ignore over the
years including signing in with multiple IDs

Hi,

Actually Messenger does support this, as of the 2009 version. It's just not in the options
and you have to add the registry value yourself.

The key is at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Live, and the value you add is
MultipleInstances as a DWORD set to 1.

However, the Plus method is not only easier, but better supported (you can see a tooltip to
see which Messenger icon is which and niceties like that).

Re: How can I be onlne with 2 Windows Live ID's at once?

why is it not in the options? Seems silly its supported, but it never was
added to the options, nor added the feature list.

Hi,

I think it just got snuck in

If it had to be in options, it probably wouldn't be there at all (for political and
economical reasons).

Jonathan,
I don't see that registry key in my Vista and WLM is "2009 14.0.8064.206"
