Is it possible to use wlm as a universal messenger? I have alot of people
on aim and I'd rather not have to have both of these messengers on my pc, is
it possible to import my aim contacts into wlm and message them from wlm?

Britni,
At this time WLM will interact with Yahoo Messenger only. And is limited to
just text messaging. No Voice or Video Call interaction.

You could try for example Trillian, supports AIM, Yahoo, MSN etc..
