microsoft application error reporting

I have deleted the messenger files and while downloading, i have clicked on
the update button instead of new download. So all components have been
dowloaded except the messenger. I tried to install an older version but it
does not accept that neither as i have the newest version on my computer. And
when i tried to uninstall the complete programe of Live messenger, it does
not appear on the add and remove programes nor anywhere else.... Please guide
me to be able to install the msn messenger......
Thank you in advance....

Re: microsoft application error reporting

Greetings,

I'm sorry, but it's not entirely clear what you're trying to do. I'm going to guess that you
updated all your Windows Live products to their 2009 versions, but not Messenger as you
previous installed it.

If that's the case, you can add Messenger very rapidly by just downloading and running this
Microsoft Installer file:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/redir/w3qfe/wlm.asp

Alternatively you could head over to Add or Remove Programs or Programs and Features in the
Control Panel, choose Windows Live Essentials, choose Uninstall/Change and then proceed to
add Messenger there.

Now if you're trying to install an older version of Messenger, that is possible but will
require more work. That said, the exact version you're trying to install would be helpful
and what other Live products you wish to be installed (and their version). Most combinations
are possible.
