windows messenger 2009 + xp pro

hopeing someone can help me...

running xp pro, was running windows live messenger 2009. all of a sudden it
won't let me in. keeps saying its temporarily unavailable. all firewall
settings say it's accepted.

i've done three clean uninstalls and reinstalls and it still keeps happening.

any ideas??

Can you click the 'More details' button and let us know what the exact error code is?
That'll be more helpful to determine what exactly the problem is.

However, if you really think it's a software problem, you also might try using System Restore
to restore back to when it was working. To find that in XP, click Start, then Help &
Support, then 'Undo changes to my computer using System Restore'.
