Vista - Messenger won't remember user login settings after reboot

Everytime I reboot, Messenger looses my login settings and I have to type
user name, etc., to login. I've read other messages about yahoo toolbar
causing this, but I don't have yahoo toolbar. Is there a fix for this?

just to confirm your message here and at my private email, yes, I got both.
Also, I've downloaded your tool and attempted to use it several times to no
avail. Every time, at the end of the run in Step 3, I got an error message
(I sent you the full text of it). In short, for some reason, the file
comp.dat was not created.

hi there everyone here is a tempory fix till microsoft creates an update.

what you have to do is create another user account in control pannel with
administrator rights and then just login with your password saved then reboot
your computer and it should save your login info i hope this helps all the
