Vista Tutorial - messenger using live mail instead of hotmail

okay so i recently tried windows live mail and i set it to my default
program.. so now when ever i click the link to my mail in messenger.. my mail
opens with windows live mail.. i want it to open on my browser with hotmail..
i tried setting the default program to hotmail on IE.. didnt help.. somebody
help me out.. i am using IE 8 and live messenger 2009

This is a feature of Messenger, but you can turn it off by just not signing into Windows Live
Mail with your Live ID. You'll still be able to access your Hotmail from within Live Mail
(manually, not through Messenger) if you wish also.

To change this, just go into Live Mail, press the Alt key on the keyboard to bring up the
menu bar, choose the Tools menu, and then Options. Choose the Connection tab, and then Stop
signing in. Then confirm the operation.

The only real problem with this workaround is that you'll have to manually sign in to Live
Mail to get at your contacts/calendar.
