Latest Version of Windows Live Messenger

Hi-
I'm trying to have Live sessions with a friend and he said he was getting a
message that his version was incompatible with mine. So we both can load
the same...and compatible version.....what is the lastest version of Live
(non-beta) at the present time? Thank you.

JV

Re: Latest Version of Windows Live Messenger

Greetings Jim,

The latest version is Windows Live Messenger 2009 (14.0.8064.206).

Which specific feature are you trying to use? There are differences in the features, even if
you use the same version just depending on what Windows version.

Re: Latest Version of Windows Live Messenger

Hi Jonathan:

I believe we both have XP. All we need to do is Video Call...nothing else.
Thanks,
JV

Re: Latest Version of Windows Live Messenger

Hi Jim,

That should be fine. However, you may want to check that you're both using Windows Live
Messenger. Windows XP also comes with Windows Messenger, and if he's using that instead,
you'll get the message about the video call being incompatible.

Re: Latest Version of Windows Live Messenger

Thank you Jonathan. We are both going to load the version you mentioned so
we should be good to go. I did. He will.
