| | WLM Log-in Information Transfer I have a number of e-mail accounts on WLM and i have just bought a new laptop, and i can't remember all accounts and their passwords. Are they stored on a file or folder which i can copy to the new laptop? Are there any programs that can do it automatically? Thanks, Tina |

Try using the free version of Static WLM Backup to create a backup of your WLM messages and settings from your old pc. Then do a restore to your new pc. This will copy and restore all of your settings, passwords, and emails to the new pc. You can get it here: http://www.staticbackup.com/downloads.htm. -- Roy Smith Windows 7 RC1 |

| | Re: WLM Log-in Information Transfer Greetings, Another way (just to provide another option) is to use a tool which shows you the passwords. Nirsoft has some nice ones for this purpose: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/index.html#password_utils You can then manually transfer over your emoticons and so on (if that's a concern for you). -- Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger MessengerGeek Blog: http://www.messengergeek.com Messenger Resources: http://messenger.jonathankay.com (c) 2009 Jonathan Kay - If redistributing, you must include this signature or citation -- "Roy Smith" <rasmith1959@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:eq1UnPc9JHA.5064@xxxxxx Quote: > > "Tina" <Tina@xxxxxx> wrote in message > news:88E63275-B143-4E6C-9D77-B0F7D42DF8A1@xxxxxx Quote: >> I have a number of e-mail accounts on WLM and i have just bought a new >> laptop, and i can't remember all accounts and their passwords.
