Vista - Problem deploying Live Messenger 2009

Hi there,

I've been having issues trying to deploy Messenger. I installed messenger on
a test machine and extracted the .msi file. I'm using that .msi file in a
start up script to deploy messenger.

The start up script installs messenger, but when I log in and test
messenger, it doesn't load up. I see no errors/warnings etc.

Can someone let me know what I'm missing?

just an added note on the command used to install messenger.

start up scrip contains this:
msiexec.exe /i \\server\messenger.msi

Just Messenger.msi isn't good enough in 2009.
