| | Re: SOCKS Proxy Greetings Dan, Messenger has no GPO/policy settings, so no. The registry keys where this configuration is stored is with the rest of the Messenger keys, and so locking it down via ACL isn't a good option either. You could write a quicky app that would monitor for the dialog and disable the box, but that could easily be defeated. In general, this should be blocked on a network level, not an application one. -- Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger MessengerGeek Blog: http://www.messengergeek.com Messenger Resources: http://messenger.jonathankay.com (c) 2009 Jonathan Kay - If redistributing, you must include this signature or citation -- "danr92000" <danr92000@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:63B0E581-F65C-4C6C-A096-F5170D67ED36@xxxxxx Quote: > Is it possible to grey out the SOCKS setting in WLM.
