Disable "joined someone's network" stamp on msn messenger

I accidentally joined someone's network, which isn't a big deal, but now, in
messenger under my name it shows " joined so and so's network 3 days ago"
How do I disable this automated heading. I find it intrusive. I also find
it annoying that people keep asking this question and there don't seem to be
any answers.

RE: Disable "joined someone's network" stamp on msn messenger

I agree with Shaharazad,

I have been trying to combat this intrusive action too that surely borders
on an infringement of my data protection?

I have adjusted my entire Profile to theoretically make it completely
private but it still says "Blah joined Blah's Network xxdays ago" to anyone I
chat with?!

WHAT ON EARTH MAKES YOU THINK THAT ANY NORMAL PERSON WOULD LIKE THIS
INFORMATION WITHOUT THEIR WILL TO BE PASSED ON TO ANY OR ALL OF THEIR
CONTACTS, IF NOTHING ELSE WHY WOULD MY CONTACTS CARE?!

It's time you realised you will never be able to re-float Messenger as a
facebook replacement, so the sooner you suck it up and deal with that fact
the sooner you will make the correct decisions upon what 'features' people
will enjoy and relish and those that will simply be a pain and will drive
people to other chat services?!

Please advise us how to defeat this pointless 'feature' at your earliest
convenience!

As Shaharazad's comment is now a month old I can see you are really spoiling
us with your undivided attention! (NOT!)

Regards

RE: Disable "joined someone's network" stamp on msn messenger

I've asked this question here as well and got no reply.
Perhaps I should say that i did get a reply- the link to the it came to my
hotmail, but when I opened the alleged reply, there was no content in it. If
the link had worked maybe there would have been an answer.
