What's New: why does a blinking text cursor show when I click?

And, can I get rid of this and all the ads?

Thank you kindly.

Re: What's New: why does a blinking text cursor show when I click?

Greetings,

Well one advantage to the text select is if you press Alt-A when you have it in focus, you
can copy the text to the clipboard.

Since someone will mention it anyway, you can use A-Patch to modify Messenger to remove
elements you don't like.

Hi,

No problem

And I meant to mention, the ads do pay for the service, but I'll leave your choices up to
you.

You can hide the What's new carousel by clicking Tool->Options and then
select the Layout tab, just uncheck "Show the what's new list".
