| | Re: Disabling Messenger and "Today" Don't want to disable MSN entirely, just Messenger and Today. Will this suggestion do that? | | Re: Disabling Messenger and "Today" Open Windows Live Messenger and sign in. Press the Alt key on your keyboard. Click Tools/Options on the Windows Live Messenger. Go to the Sign-in tab. You can uncheck the automatically sign in and automatically start WLM options as well as the Display Today option. If you are running MSN Explorer, you cannot stop Windows Live Messenger from also signing you in, but you can change it to show you as Invisible, Away, or Busy if desired and to not pop up in your face. -steve tudurgs <tudurgs@newsgroup> wrote: Quote: >Have no use for Messenger or Today. | | Re: Disabling Messenger and "Today" Hi, Just to add for searchable reference, you cannot use msconfig to disable Messenger starting at startup. The best way is to just uncheck the option in Messenger itself. -- Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger MessengerGeek Blog: http://www.messengergeek.com Messenger Resources: http://messenger.jonathankay.com (c) 2009 Jonathan Kay - If redistributing, you must include this signature or citation -- "Crispy2007" <guest@newsgroup-email.com> wrote in message news:f88d097d4c620b302483971cbd3ebfa7@newsgroup-gateway.com...
