| Vista | WLM 2009 Impossible to add new contacts Hi, I ve been forced today to updrade my messenger version to 2009. But now I can't add new contacts anymore. They appear in the contact list as disconnected. I asked to one of my contacts if he receives the invitation and he doesn't. The contact does not appear either in the Privacy/Options in any list. I cant block a contact either. It seems the modifications made to my contacts are not saved in the distant server. What can I do ? Thanks all. |

| | RE: WLM 2009 Impossible to add new contacts Same thing happens to me, I can't even see my contact list, can't add them, but when I sign in on Web Messenger they are there. I tried so many methods to get them back but in vain, I tried to re - add them but they don't receive my request. I don't know why are we forced to use this version if it doesn't work. I'd be really happy if you could help me/us with this problem. I'm looking forward to hear from you. Thank you. | | RE: WLM 2009 Impossible to add new contacts I am having the same exact problem as below. I can't see any of my contacts and I can't add any. I import my contacts and when I try to go in and move them to different categories, it tells me they are a non-instant messenger contact. If I sign in on another machine everything is there. If I go to live.com and sign on there all my contacts are there. I have tried all the various cache clean up fixes and have probably reinstall messenger 5 times today. Why would Microsoft force an update if they knew these were issues or didn't have a fix that worked. | | Re: WLM 2009 Impossible to add new contacts Please shoot me a mail at livebeta_nick@newsgroup if you are willing to allow someone from Microsoft to take a remote look at your machine. We are sorry you ran into this issue and would like to try and figure out what’s going on as soon as possible! Thanks. Nick Windows Live Messenger Team.
