85ae001d - Contact list not available

I'm guessing this has probably happened to a few people as I'm seeing increased numbers of comments about it in the last day or so around the web.

"Your contact list is not available right now, please try again later."
Error code:85ae001d

Also guessing it may be something that can't be fixed from the client end, just wondering if anyone has any info on what might be happening?

I have included two extracts from my contacts log below as I have signed in with one of my working accounts and the account of mine that has the problem ( I can still use webmessenger to sign in with the account that isnt working with the Live Messenger client )

Re: 85ae001d - Contact list not available

Hi,
I have been struggling to get Windows Live Messenger to work on my computer, using Vista OS, for quite a while now. I ran it in compatibility mode for Windows XP and it seems to be working fine now. I hope this helps someone else
