Live Messenger and chat

Can't access my live messenger and getting annoyed. Am told I need cookies...I thought my programs were automatically updated and my son works for Microsoft and says I have all the necessary stuff! My son is Angus Norton. Perhaps he is browsing this site and can help me and others who have this problem. Thanks Angus

Can't log in: Error Code: 80070005

I can't log into WLM. When I do a message pops ups saying: "Signing in to
Windows Live Messenger has failed because the service is temporarily
unavailavle. Please try again later. Error Code: 80070005."

I don't know if it has anything todo with WLM not working but when I bought
my laptop it had WLM on it, But something happened and WLM got deleted. I
have tried many, many times to uninstall WLM and installing it over and over
again but that still does not help me. I am very frustrated that it does not
work for me. WLM is my way of communicating with family and friends that live
far away!

RE: Live Messenger and chat

Why hasn't microsoft addressed this issue? I also get this error code,
80070005, running vista ultimate, on parallel desktop, on a macbook. I'm
unable to log in to the windows live messenger thing. Still getting annoyed?
This is why I switched to mac!

Have you found a solution you care to share? I've been searching the web to
no avail. Also, wish people stop making unproven suggestions, with all good
intentions. Only add to the frustrations. Don't you agree?

Thank you.
