Vista - Lost messages...

I have a PC running XP with the latest updates applied with WLM version 2009
(build 14.0.8064.206) that is having a problem with lost messages. There is
no error message or anything when this happens. The lost messages are being
sent to several different people and being received from several different
people (or tried to receive).

This is a home user behind a Belkin router (not a LinkSys).

This was working fine up until a month or so ago then random messages
started getting dropped.

Can anyone offer any suggestion on what this might be and how we can fix it?

Just for interest, can you provide a few samples of the lost messages? Then various people
here can test if it happens everywhere.

Thanks for your reply. I am sorry but I don't understand what you are asking
for. There are no template messages or anything just 2 users/people sending
IMs back and forth.

Can some one please help me with this issue? Or help me troubleshoot it?
