I have a camera built into my computer which works for everything but IM.
Any ideas as to what i can do to get it to work?

At which point doesn't it work? As a starting point, you should check that it works in the
Audio and video setup wizard. To get there, open up any Messenger window, press the Alt key
on the keyboard to bring up the menu bar, choose the Tools menu, then Audio and video setup.

If it works there, but it still doesn't work within Messenger, and you're seeing grayed out
options or a broken camera-like icon, you may want to see the following post on my blog:
