| | WLM doesn't come out of "Away" mode on Windows 7 I just got a copy of Windows 7 from a promotional event by Microsoft and the houseparty website and am running Windows 7 Utimate now. I'm using the latest version of WLM on it and found that WLM does not come out of "Away" mode by itself when I restart using the computer again. Just reporting this on here hoping someone who can do something to fix it (or can get this info to someone who can fix it) see it. |

| | Re: WLM doesn't come out of "Away" mode on Windows 7 Greetings, By "restarting" I assume you mean when you've just left the machine running and then come back after more than 5 minutes (default settings). I also assume that if you choose to manually switch the status back, it does so without any issue? I can say this is non-reproducible here, oddly enough that feature has been working rather reliably here (whereas in previous Windows/Messenger versions it was hit and miss). -- Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger MessengerGeek Blog: http://www.messengergeek.com Messenger Resources: http://messenger.jonathankay.com (c) 2009 Jonathan Kay - If redistributing, you must include this signature or citation -- "thebigdintexas" <thebigdintexas@newsgroup> wrote in message news:4B17BA90-D8B2-4EFC-BD10-A35D98C76B72@newsgroup Quote: > I just got a copy of Windows 7 from a promotional event by Microsoft and the > houseparty website and am running Windows 7 Utimate now. | | RE: WLM doesn't come out of "Away" mode on Windows 7 well, it's doing it now, so maybe it was just a temporary application hang or something. | | Re: WLM doesn't come out of "Away" mode on Windows 7 Hi, It's certainly possible that something was disrupting it. Although like I said, I thought it was far more reliable now. -- Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger MessengerGeek Blog: http://www.messengergeek.com Messenger Resources: http://messenger.jonathankay.com (c) 2009 Jonathan Kay - If redistributing, you must include this signature or citation -- "thebigdintexas" <thebigdintexas@newsgroup> wrote in message news:4A949A82-613F-4FF8-98E5-9F3ACEB774C0@newsgroup Quote: > well, it's doing it now, so maybe it was just a temporary application hang or > something. > > > > > "thebigdintexas" wrote: > Quote: >> I just got a copy of Windows 7 from a promotional event by Microsoft and the >> houseparty website and am running Windows 7 Utimate now.
