On my computer this post shows it was sent in July 2010, so check your date

Hi,
It's regsvr32 (not reggsvr32). mssip32 is a protected file in XP SP2, so you'd actually have
to take great lengths for it to be missing.
An accurate date/time is critical however for proper SSL/Messenger/Windows Live ID login
operation.

Thanks for spotting this. I kept overlooking this all the time..... MSN
works again. Very embarrassing. I wonder how my computer clock managed to
get this far off though.

Well, the misspelling must be the reason why Windows couldn't find. I copied
and pasted the names of the dll's from the help pages on Windows Live
Messenger's web site ;-)
thanks,
