After latest upgrade help

I get this error

Event Type: Error
Event Source: WinSS
Event Category: Router Configuration
Event ID: 7001
Date: 11/23/2007
Time: 8:53:05 AM
User: N/A
Computer: XXXX01
Description:
Failed executing wireless security check process. Error Code = 0x8a190107.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

Do not have any wireless on this computer how to we stop this check? Why is
it necessary?

Thanks

Tom

Ignore it, Tom. It is part of the new feature of OneCare 2.0 where it confirms
that wireless security is properly configured.

Re: After latest upgrade help

Steve

Then we should have an option in WOC to turn it off

I do not like errors on my Pc for no reason

If this error appears on a regular basis then others could get missed
becasue you would just ignore the error

Please Advise

Tom

Re: After latest upgrade help

It can't be turned off, Tom, but I understand your request. Perhaps the
developers of this new feature will take that into consideration. Other errors
that were written to the Event Log were removed due to complaints like this.
For now, ignore the errors. Note that you really don't need to go to the Event
Viewer unless you PC is having a problem that you are trying to resolve.
