Cancel subsciption?

Hi there!

my OneCare 1.0 subscription runs out at the end of january.
i was a beta-tester for OneCare 2.0 and now i got the chance to buy this new
service for a lower price.

Now the problem: i have to cancel my running subscription first! but the
only way to do this seems to be made by telefon.
Isnīt there any "internet-way" - i donīt want to spend the money iīm saving
by ringing up somebody in the USA (from Europe/Germany)

any suggestions?
thanks!

Re: Cancel subsciption?

If you have a Windows Live (Hotmail) account, log in and click on the
OneCare button on the main tab Bar (across the top). Click on Update Your
Account (near the centre bottom) which takes you to the Billing and
Management page. Click on Cancel My Account (left side menu bar).

Re: Cancel subsciption?

Unfortunately, that link simply takes you into the support path for OneCare at
http://help.live.com/help.aspx?project=onecarev2
To cancel your account, you need to contact suport.
The link above is one way to get there or you can get there from within OneCare
by clicking Help. When you get to the online Help pages, click Get More help in
the lower right and then click Contact Support. You will need to sign in and it
validates (sometimes) your subscription. If it fails to validate your
subscription, use the option that says you are a trial/beta user to open an
email case.
If you paid by credit card, use the path provided by Terry or sign in directly
to http://billing.microsoft.com and change your credit card information to
invalidate it and prevent automatic renewal. That's much easier than contacting
support, though that is the official path.
