WMDC is broken with 2.0

I've been running OneCare since the original beta. I just upgraded to 2.0 and now my PocketPC won't synch. I'm on Vista Ultimate and when I connect the PPC in the cradle, I can hear that Vista recognizes it but no synch. If I turn off the OC firewall, it works just fine. Looking in Advanced Settings, it has Windows Mobile Device Center listed as Allow.

Anyone else seen this?

Thanks,
Lon

Re: WMDC is broken with 2.0

Make sure that your network is identified as Private - Home or Work in the
OneCare Firewall settings. Also, in the firewall advanced section in OneCare,
Activesync should be checked as allowed.

Re: WMDC is broken with 2.0

Thanks for the response, StephenB. I think it's setup correctly. What
about "File and Printer Sharing - for subnet and Internet" not being
checked -- could that do it? File and Printer Sharing - for local network
(subnet) IS checked.

Re: WMDC is broken with 2.0

That should not impact WMDC and OneCare, but it would not hurt to try it.

Re: WMDC is broken with 2.0

Well, either that was it or some other planet aligned without my
involvement. It's working again. Thanks for your help!

Re: WMDC is broken with 2.0

I'm back -- the planets changed and I couldn't synch until I turned off
OneCare.

What else could I check?

Thanks,

Re: WMDC is broken with 2.0

I think it is time to reach out to support, Lon. :-(

How to reach support -
http://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsO...21771&SiteID=2
If it fails to validate your subscription, select the option that you are using
a trial or beta copy and you can proceed to email support without validation
once you've signed in.
