Onecare circle

Hi,
I have 3 computers in the same Onecare circle. As my daughters laptop is
only used on an occasional basis I do not want to monitor its status. If I
remove it from the circle am I correct in assuming it still runs Onecare for
protection? I don't want to remove it from the Oncecare subscription.

Thanks.

If you remove it from the Circle, it will cause it to no longer be subscribed
and it will need to be reinstalled and activated once again. (Which will cause
it to reappear on your hub in the Circle.)
The only way to *not* monitor any PC on your subscription, you would need to
change your PC to not be a hub.
Alternatively, watch for a retail deal for OneCare and create a new subscription
for just your daughter's PC. Personally, I'd either make sure your daughter's
laptop was powered on and connected to the internet at least once every few days
to get updates and communicate with the Circle or I'd remove OneCare from that
PC and use one of the free antivirus programs like Avast and get a good
antispyware program, too, and then lock down her logon account to be a limited
user.

Re: Onecare circle

Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad I haven't removed the laptop from the
circle - I'll leave it as is!

Re: Onecare circle

You're quite welcome. Had you used the link to "remove" you would have received
a stern warning that you were about to unsubscribe that PC. What I wish is that
there was an option to re-subscribe in case someone ignored the warning anyway.
