help files?

When I click on Change One Care Settings- then, if I click on, for example,
"Learn More about Tune-up"- it attempts to load an online help system, which
invariable, doesn't work. I noticed this several months ago and the problem
is still there, or, is it just me?

IE V7. Not only does that web site not work, but I have a tough time even
closing the window. I can also try it with another computer running XP with
IE V6x.

The problem is persistent- I noticed it when I first installed One Care
months ago and several times since then, including a minute ago. I have no
problem with any other web sites with my current configuration.

I just tried it on a Vista machine and it launched IE7 and brought me to
http://help.live.com/help.aspx?mkt=e...ject=onecarev2 and the topic for
"Run tune-up" via a rather convoluted link. You can see the exact entry by
typing Tune-up in the search box at the above link. It appears as if the OneCare
link uses a redirect to go directly to a specific topic. You'll note that going
to the topic manually does not change the displayed URL for the Help Topic, so I
can't link to it directly. So, it would appear that something is blocking your
redirect.

Steve, that link works- but when I click on the Tune Help within the
program- it goes to:
http://help.live.com/help.aspx?proje...enut&mkt=en-US
then it freezes up- showing part of the help screen- the outline of it but
not the menu items on the left.

I don't think I've done anything to my IE7 to cause the problem- it works
perfectly well with all other web sites. I presume some other people must
have this problem too.

So, I made a shortcut on my desktop to your link above and I can use that
for the time being.

Yep, that looks part of the redirect it is trying to do to bring you to the
specific topic from within OneCare. I'm not sure how they are doing it, but if I
hear of a solution for your problem with it stalling and not opening the help
page, I'll let you know.
