This morning I got a message on my PC to the effect that OneCare was about
to be updated and that I should not close it down until the update had finished. I had seen this before and did not have a problem with it, however, when the update was finished a message appeared saying that a restart was required and that until the PC was restarted OneCare WOULD NOT RUN AND WOULD NOT PROTECT THE PC! Is this literally correct? What would have happened had I not been there when the update finished? By the sound of it, my PC would be unprotected had it been unattended - which it quite often is for very long periods. Can anyone who knows comment? Ray Martin |

It looks like a shock tactic to me. "Reboot the computer or else!" I got
the same message. Cheers, EArle "Ray Martin" <me@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:OqQbcuZZIHA.5896@xxxxxx
