Live OneCare and Vista Clarification

I plan to purchase a new Dell computer with Visa Business edition in the
near future. I don't have any experience with Vista and so am trying to
read and understand as much as I can before I purchase the new computer.

I am confused about the possible duplication of programs on one live onecare
and Vista. As I understand it, Vista Business comes with a backup image and
file program, firewall, and defrag functions. It appears that live onecare
program also has these same features. Any clarification and comments would
be very much appreciated, Sam.

Welcome to the forums Sam!

Windows Live OneCare takes all of those functions and put them into one easy to use interface. It also scans for viruses and evilware. You can schedule tasks like defrag and backup on up to three PC's in your home. You can use Live OneCare to aid in sharing of a printer or a central backup device. It really is a great program and reasonably priced.
