I got an update for Excel 2003 this morning. I have Auto Update set to DL
any updates as they become available then ask me when to install them. I noticed the little yellow shield in the system tray and when I placed the cursor over it it said that there was an update waiting to install. I was busy with something else at the time so I left it. When I had finished what I had to do - about an hour later - I noticed that the shield had disappeared. Upon checking with Microsoft Update I found that the update had installed itself! I haven't changed any of my Update settings - is this another of OneCare's 'background' changes that it makes without telling anyone? Ray Martin |

install at a scheduled time. If you set it to anything else, it will place you in "at risk" state and then change the setting itself. -steve -- Stephen Boots MVP Windows Live Windows Live OneCare Forum Moderator sboots@xxxxxx |
