Supported printer

Imagine my surprise this morning when I tried to print from my Laptop over my networked HP f4180 All in one. I was even more surprised when one care informed me that HP is not supported (seen) by onecare. My renewal comes up in 3 days. Had this setup since October. any idea when HP may become supported again?

OneCare informed you?
Are you using OneCare's printer sharing functionality?
Networked in what way? Is it directly attached to the network or is it attached
to another PC that is running OneCare.
If it is directly connected to the network it won't work using the Printer
Sharing feature of OneCare in a OneCare Circle, but it would work fine as long
you have enabled File and Printer sharing by setting the network location for
your PC to "home or work" on the Firewall tab.

Re: Supported printer

StephenB,
Thanks for the reply. I have a pc running XPHome with the F4180 attached to it. I also have a laptop running vista premium connected wirelessly. this setup had worked fine since October when it was set up. Today I found a "newer" driver on the HP site, installed on both pc's and Onecare now "sees" it. It seems to be OK now. The best I can come up with is that vista or Onecare burped and lost the path to the printer.
Thanks for the advice,
John V

Re: Supported printer

You're welcome, John.
Ah, the mysteries of computers! I am glad that you were able to resolve the
problem. I think you may be correct about the burp. :-)
