LiveOne Care ---Windows Updates -- contradictory messages

Live OneCare is reporting "important Windows Updates" missing.

However, Windows Update reports no important or critical updates are
available the only things available are the language packs and the
DreamScene content packs

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I'm currently 2 days into the trial version (not subscribed).

Planning to purchase the Live OneCare off-the-shelf product very soon,
because for some reason subscribing online through MS web site (pay by
credit card) doesn't work for me in Australia, as it's for United States
only.

Re: LiveOne Care ---Windows Updates -- contradictory messages

Check your update history to see if there are any updates listed as failed.
Also, do you have any hidden updates?
My guess is that there is a problem with the way the updates are being queried
by OneCare. The check for missing updates looks at the Windows Update catalog to
verify that all critical/important updates have been offered and installed.

Re: LiveOne Care ---Windows Updates -- contradictory messages

Thanks, have since solved the issue. Windows Update was reporting "no new
important updates" but Livecare seemed to think that there were updates
missing.

It turned out that SP1 was not installed, so I did this through Widows
Update and all reports OK now.
