Windows Photo Gallery

Might be a stupid question... but is there a "Live" Photo Gallery program as
well as a just old Photo Gallery? Are they two separate programs, or is one
an update to the other? What is the difference features?

It's a mystery to me why the Live version does
not simply replace Windows PhotoGallery as
an update but Windows Live PhotoGallery
installs separately.

The following article explains the new features:

Re: Windows Photo Gallery

Live Photo Gallery replaces Vistas Photo Gallery in terms of function and
features ( upload to Spaces,Flickr,Soapbox, enhanced Image Manipulation
settings .. and what not ), it is a superb application, it is bug free so
far that it is usable on a per-day base and it is free, even for XP users .

The same applies to Windows Live Mail - which replaces Windows Vistas Mail
and XPs Outlook Express, same as above : many more features, free ...

The old apps in Vista are not deleted, so if you wanted you could use both,
but that would not make any sense.

Now all we need is a Replacement for Vistas calendar

The tragic irony alone is that now almost all "Vista only" features are
available for XP at no cost:

Defender, IE 7, Photo Gallery, Windows Mail, WMPlayer 11,Windows Cardspace
( in dotnet 3.x ) ...

Hope this gives insight
